Parley was the daughter of Frances Ault. Frances was the youngest child of Jacob Ault and Sarah Hannah Ault. She married Daniel Cook in the early 1860's. He was in the Civil War and did not return to Georgia. Frances Cook is listed as the head of the household on the 1870 Census and as living in Whitfield County, Georgia. She is listed with her two children, Alice P. and George W. She married her neighbor, James Swanson, in the early 1870's. My grandfather, James Swanson, was born in Whitfield County, Georgia. The family moved to Lee County, Arkansas when James was a small child. Two children, Ida Frances and Fred, were born in Arkansas.
