Austin - African American in South Carolina

Update. I posted a query back in 2008 regarding my great grandfather, Perry Butler Austin. I recently learned the state where he died and requested his death certificate. His parents were "gratefully" listed. His father's name was Juba Austin place of birth Africa and his mother was Susan Cunotas with place of birth South Carolina. This lead me to the 1870 census of South Carolina which listed head of household "Jubelle Austin born in South Carolina married to a Susan Austin born in South Carolina with a 6 yr old son named Butler. Also listed was an 81 yr old female named Thisire Austin. Can't find them on the 1880 census. Has anyone heard of these unique names??
