Following up with my posting of April 11, 2012. Jubellee's daughter and mother's name may NOT be Thisire BUT Kisire. Also found an index to a land deed sold by surname "Garrett" to Juba Austin in 1873 of 45 acres. Brief description says A. Wat. Maple Cr Reedy R

Another land deed sold by surname "Garrett" to Juber Austin in 1874 of 2 acres. Brief description says A. Greenville Rd.

Does anyone know about Captain Nathaniel Austin's plantation called Glider Plantation in Simpsonville, Greenville County, South Carolina? When looking up SC plantations it says Glider had 8 slaves in 1790 and 9 slaves in 1841. Would love to see if the first name of slaves were ever recorded.
