5th Prns is 5th Pioneers, 1st AIF is first Australian Imperial Forces ...Australian forces in WW1.
Do not know what the WW2 unit is.....MG...but you will see what it means when you get the WW2 record.

Find the newspaper reference to death of Lillian here.
search with...5th Prns....
select SA for paper, no need to select individual paper.
It will bring up death notice and other references to this unit when soldiers are returning to Aust.
There was more than one Pnr reinforcement units.
