Robert and Cheryl Conway Nee Tighe

Hi...looking for information on Robert and Cheryl Conway Nee Tighe. Robert was believed to have been in the Coonabarabran district early to mid 1960s shearing sheep. He was believed to have come from Wallsend NSW. Married Cheryl Tighe but no record showing on NSW BDM up to 1961. One child to the marriage - a son (name not known). The marriage did not last and Cheryl took the son and left. Robert tried for custody of his son but lost. In despair he shot himself in the stomach but he recovered from the wound. He spent a long time in Tamworth hospital following this injury. After he was released he moved to Melbourne. Both Robert and Cheryl are believed to have passed away but have not been able to determine when and where. It is believed that their son was in the building industry and was living in Newcastle NSW but this was some time ago.

Can anyone help with information - particularly interested in Robert.

Cheers

Jo
