AXFORD

My grandmother was Blanche Julia Melina Axford. She was born on November 14, 1882 in Devon (also known as Devonshire) is a county located on the southern peninsula of England. I beleive her father was a sailor, either as his trade or maybe for only a few years. I have a few old coins, small tapestry, and a wooden box that he brought home. These have been passed down to me. Blanche was one of 11 girls and one boy born into the Axford family. There are many family stories. It was said some imigrated to S. Africa, Australia, and my grandmother went to Canada with her husband and children circa 1918. Anyone interested, or anyone with info to share can email me at jmarti35@columbus.rr.com.
