Hi Terry,

Is this Charlotte?

Died: Hawthorn, Victoria
Age: 76
Father: Alexander McWHINNEY
Registered: 1932
Registration number: 3365m

The Argus, Thursday 24 November 1932, page 1

SLATTERY - On the 23rd November, at Kingston, 2 Henrietta street Glenferrie, Charlotte Slattery the beloved wife of the late William Henry and much loved mother of William (deceased), Florence, Herbert, Alice (Mrs Knight), Rene (Mrs Nicholls), and loved sister of Mr H. J. McWhinney - Our adored mother.

SLATTERY - The Friends of the late Mrs CHARLOTTE SLATTERY are respectfully informed that her remains will be interred in the Boroondara Cemetery, Kew. The funeral is appointed to leave her late residence Kingston, 2 Henrietta street, Glenferrie, THIS DAY (Thursday, 24th November) at 2.30 pm.

Her marriage cert will tell you where and when she was born. Civil registration did not start in Victoria until the middle of 1853 and it took them a while to warm to the idea. It is not unusual for births not to be registered in the 1850s.
