I found
The Sydney Morning Herald (NSW : 1842 - 1954) Saturday 18 July 1942
HICKS - BONNING. - July 16, 1942, at her residence, 72 Walkin Street, Newtown, Mary Hicks - Bonning, dearly-loved mother of Charles, George, and Ivy Hicks, and Edith (Mrs. T. Dudley), and of William and Alfred Bonning, and fond sister of Dolly (Mrs. J. Dwyer), aged 67 years. At rest.
