When did your line move to Canada? Do you have any census records from the US on anyof your lines? I did a quick check and could not find any in 1880 or 1870, but they could be incorrect in the index. Do you know where exactly they were in Nebraska? Do you know if they were in Nebraska in 1880?
I never saw anything about Hendrick being adopted. There were 3 Henry's in Northampton Co who all died young, and some of their children are in court records to establish guardians for them. Mamie McKinney documented those records here on genforum, so have a quick look at them.
Mame's file has a son John born to Hendrick, but nothing else matches from the line you gave to me. Let me know about the above, and we can try to domore searching.
Can you give me the website for the Canadien Census?
