Hi Matthew,

Charles apparently (one person's version) had 10 siblings, but I only have 3 names: James Edward b.8 Dec 1861, Charles A. b.19Dec 1862, and John C. b. 1867, all born in Cerro Gordo, Ill.

As for Joseph's own 9 siblings, these I know are correct except for one sister, Delia/Martha, whom I cannot confirm. There is one tantalizing suggestion of her existence - the mention of Martha Auten who died in 1855 (see Wolfe letters #1 in ATEN WEBSITE, under "Aten/Auten Letters Link") We can find no other Martha in the whole extended family; perhaps this was the mysterious Delia (the name Delia came from another unconfirmed source).

As for the details of Joseph's siblings, this is a big load of data. Do you want to download the gedcom? or just get the sibs without their families? You can contact me directly at if you would like to have the whole thing. Otherwise I will give you the bare bones here:
Delia/Martha d 1855 (unconfirmed data);
James Wesley b 13 Nov 1809 PA moved to Nebraska (my line);
John b 1810 PA;
Harriet b 1812;
David b 11 Apr 1816 Carroll Co Ohio;
Mary C. b 18 Sept 1818 Carroll Co;
Abraham A. b 21 Aug 1821 Carroll Co;
Nicholas b 10 Jan 1825 Carroll Co;
Jacob Sr. b 6 Aug 1826 Carroll Co; and
Joseph b 1830 d. Illinois

James Wesley and his extended family moved to Nebraska in 1871; all of his siblings (except Joseph) seem to have stayed on and died in Owen Co. Indiana where the whole extended family of Johnathon Wesley Aten/Auten and Mary Miller moved in about 1850.

Let me know if your curiosity requires more. nancy
