The 'Michigan Autens' are names of Autens who have appeared in census records or other data in Michigan. So, there are many names - some well connected to known Auten/Aten lines and some who are mysteries. If you have a specific family that you want to follow, we can look through the known data and try to find a connection.

If you look at the Aten/Auten website ( ) you'll see in the section of Newspaper Clippings the Cass City Chronicle article from this summer. This summarizes that Aten/Auten research has found that there are interesting lines to follow in Michigan and that researchers would particularly like to find someone there who is a direct descendent in an Auten family line.

If you can give me some names from as far back as you know the family line, hopefully we can track your family back in time. Email me at and we can discuss. n
