I'm following Frances as a research interest in another direction. Her father built a house in Wellington, OH, that has long been discussed as a Frank Lloyd Wright house. I'm a docent at the Charles Weltzheimer house in Oberlin which was designed by Wright and we were contacted by some Chicago researchers to do further work about the presumed Wright project in Wellington.

We are now virtually certain that Wright did not design the Wellington house, but the mystery lingers because Wright DID design a house for Mosher that was never built in Illinois and that is not like the one in Wellington. Mosher worked for a company in Chicago whose owner had a Wright house built so there is a certainly a connection somewhere along the way.

Do you live where you can easily access old California newspapers and/or city directories? I was able to discover that a couple of Frances' aunts and uncles moved to the very same area in California as she and her father did.
