Hello,
I was wondering if anyone had information on Mariah also spelled Maria Van Lieu? In 1850 in Somerset NJ:
1850 NJ, Somerset, Franklin M432-463
p, 299

VAN LIEU, Maria 55
Sarah Catharine 21
Sophia Hellen 18
AUTEN, John I 70 wheel right (calc. b.1780)
MORRIS, Henry H 29
Cynthia 26
Frederick V L 6
BROKAW, Sarah M 19
WYCKOFF, Frederick V L 9/12

I am trying to figure out if there is a relationship to John Auten who is living in the household in 1850. In the Hillsborough Reformed Dutch Church records, John I Auten & wife Cornelius Probasco and their son Frederick P and Mariah Auten were listed as members. We cannot tell if Mariah was a daughter to John I & Cornelius, or a wife of Frederick P. Since John I is living with Mariah Van Liew, we thought she might be his married daughter.

Thank you,
Karen Aten Hillman
