Marion, Grandma Florence listed them in her address book as Mrs. and Mrs. O. W. Metzger, in Seminole Oklahoma, General Delivery. She always put the wife's name and children's names (if any) in her books. She has no children listed in address books for them. Flossy Avers was born to Johann Ludwig Avers b.6/17/1864 in Sandusky or Ottawa Co. Ohio and Bertha Witthaln b.12/16/1889 in Berlin Germany. No birth date for Flossy and no death dates on Flossy and O. W. Flossy had siblings: Arthur Avers b. 10/11/1889, Mabel, Ruth and Galen. I have a real old picture of Flossy and Ruth Avers in Oklahoma where the Avers worked when John L. Avers had moved from Ohio to pursue his oil business. My husband's Grandmother Florence Avers was born to Emanuel Avers, John Avers brother. Florence lived and died in Tarrant Co., Ft. Worth, TEXAS. Sorry I could not help with much. I have lots of Avers info.
My e-mail is j.jw@gte.net if you want to email me. Judy
