Hi Denny! Yes, that makes sense. Also, another researcher for the Avers Family told me that most likely the name was spelled Ewers in Germany and pronounced Evers with the E sounding like A. He is the Grandson of an Avers that came over from Germany way back. Also was a kinship to my Avers Family, Emanuel Avers. Actually Johann Heimlich Emanuel Avers. I never knew it could get so complicated. I did, however, find a lot of information by checking with familyhistory.com. Lots more people researching Avers on that web. Good luck.
