I am a descendant of Joan Awbrey and her husband David Price through their daughter Joan who married James Pugh at the Haverford-Radnor Meeting, Chester County, PA circa 1692.The David Price family emigrated from Brecknockshire, Wales in 1690.They had a certificate of removal from the Quaker meeting in Brecknockshire. It appears that David died on the way to America.Joan's burial is recorded in the Radnor meeting records.I have information from Alfred Justice, a Philadelphia genealogist, and Clark, a British genealogist, which connects Joan Awbrey with the gentry family of County Brecknock, Wales. If everything written is true, Mrs. Price is a descendant of Sir David Gam, Henry I, and ultimately of Emperor Charlemagne. Please contact me if you wish to know more.
