The meaning of the name is according to the history of the Tierra of Ayala in Spain. The city of Ayala in the Basque province of Spain is based on a leyend that an aragonese count named Vela (Velasco) was given a piece of land as an inheritance. Ayala in spanish means Hayala, Go find it! He was given the location of the inherited land and was told hayala! Go find it. The last name Ayala is so used world wide that you can find anyone from any racial background with that last name, Caucasian Spaniards, Aztec blooded Central Americans and African Blooded people from the Carribbean. You even have Ayalas in the Philipines.
