Hi Paulline,

Thanks very much for the response! From your note, I think that my mother (Ruby Ayala Fiegel) and your husband are cousins. After posting my note in the Ayala Family Forum, I spoke with my aunt (Miriam Ayala Durel) and from memory she had a wealth of information on the family. Unfortunately, I have misplaced my notes so I will need to talk with her again to get the details.

The names I had for my grandfatherís brothers and sisters were from a public record. When I talked to my Aunt Miriam, she corrected some of the information (as you mentioned with Inez). I didnít know about Marie Penot, William Gregorie and Josephine Genot. Thanks for placing a few more pieces to this puzzle.

I havenít had much time over the last 10 months to continue the family search. I actually stumbled into this last Labor Day when I was searching for a web site that my son developed. I knew very little about my mother and fatherís families so I found it intriguing. When I find the time, I will try to summarize what I have and send it to you if you are interested.

Hope all is well!
