My great-grandfather was from La Barca, Jalisco, Mexico. He was born about 1861 and died in 1955. His name was Sebastian Ayala. He had 2 sons and 3 daughters. My grandfather was Delores Ayala. He and his 3 sisters came to Colorado during the Mexican revolution and stayed in Ft. Collins. Then he married my grandmother, Esther Mondragon and moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I am thinking the Ayala's got to Mexico through Philippians. I am still checking that out.
If this information helps please let me know.
