It is relatively clear that the Black Revolutionary Soldier Austin Dabney lived with James or Richard Aycock.Since Richard is my ancestor, I prefer to believe he didn't try to offer Austin in his place as an inductee.However, all of the accounts that name his "master" say Richard or omit the first name.
These links provide some very interesting accounts of some real history.
If anyone can add to this or clear anything up, it would be great.
