Thanks for your response to my post. The information from 1900 are my ancestors. As for the others, I don't see anything that might be a connection. Although it was common for hispanic men to anglicize their names (my grandparents did so) I don't see any connection. James did name his daughter Josefa, that could be the Jose connection, but the dates don't match. Thanks for your help.
