THOMAS HEWITT - SHERIFF AND FARMER
Posted by: EDWARD LUNT (ID *****7037) Date: May 12, 2008 at 12:37:33

hi all, from a sunny county of CHESHIRE, ENGLAND.

i wonder if there are any relatives alive today of THOMAS HEWITT my g/uncle who emigrated to the USA around 1880ish.
he was born in LIVERPOOL ENGLAND in March 1858 the son of
JOSHUA and ELLEN HEWITT.
I remember my grandmother telling me was a sheriff at the time in ARIZONA when he was killed by lightening in a thunder storm, when baleing hay for the cattle. I can
remember being upset because i was hoping he had been killed in a gun battle with some cattle rustlers.
Im sure there must be some relatives out there, and it must have been sometime 5 years either way of 1920.
if there is, please get in touch. Maybe he got married,
i hope so.
thanks. TED.
