William Frank A. Baade, his older brother Christian Baade, and his younger brother Albert Bade immigrated from Prussia to the U.S. about 1857. Family stories indicate that two other brothers immigrated at the same time. The best support for this idea is the fact that William’s son Herbert Baade corresponded with a cousin Charles Baade that lived in Detroit Michigan. I know that Charles Baade was not the son of either Christian or Albert. I am seeking information on the families of the two Baade brothers that immigrated with William, Christian, and Albert. Additional information that may be helpful in establishing links between William, Christian, and Albert and their unknown brothers include the following: William was born in Uckermark region of Prussia about 1840. William applied for citizenship in Winona County Minnesota in 1868 and Married Mary Ann Cope in Winona County in 1872. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Utica near Yankton South Dakota. William died in Yankton in 1888. Both Christian and Albert also lived in Yankton South Dakota. Christian was born August 30, 1833 in Prussia and died April 1921 in Alice North Dakota. Albert Bade was born June 18, 1849 in Uckermark Prussia and died May 1930 in Yankton South Dakota.
