Fritz Carl Johann Baars, the son of Henrich Baars and his wife Dorothea, nee Jahnke, was born at Chicago, Ill., on February 12, 1880.
On June 9, 1904, he was united in marriage to Dorothea Nobbinan at Emerald, Nebr. The young couple made their home in South Dakota until the year 1911, when they located on a homestead near Lusk, Wyoming. Four children were born to this union; Amelia (Minnie) Baars-Butler, Verna Hulda Baars-Humphrey, Wilmer C. H. Baars, Harry John Baars.
