Are these be the same person?
I find a Jacob in the 1860 Census (Portage,Ohio) with Wife Elizabeth and children Jacob M, George W, Amelia, and W.M. (William?).
Then I find a Joseph in the 1870 Census (Portage,Ohio) with wife Elizabeth and children George, Amelia, William, Frank and Edwin.
Both show to have been born in PA. Can anyone further confirm that these are the same person? At this point all I have to go on is Census info.
I am descended from Jacob M. Babb. Can someone help me go back from there?
