Mabel Brinkley Babb, 92, 109 W. Walnut Street, Johnson
City, Washington Co TN, died Monday, September 15, 2008,
at Lakebridge Health Care.
Mrs. Babb was a native of Buladean, NC, and had lived most
of her in Johnson City.
She was a daughter of the late William H. and Rosie Butler
Brinkley. She was a member of Tacoma Church of God.
Her husband, Earl Babb; one daughter, Billie Rushing; one
sister, Annie Brinkley; and seven brothers, Charles,
Walter, Gus, W. H., Dallas, S. G. and Carlos Brinkley;
preceded Mrs. Brinkley in death.
Survivors include one brother, James Brinkley, Orange
Park, FL; one grandson, Billy Rushing; and several nieces
and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Babb will be held at 10 a.m.
Friday, September 19, 2008, at Roselawn Memory Park.
Reverend Donald Kelly will officiate. Family and friends
are asked to assemble at the cemetery.
