I don`t know whether any of my ancestors lived in Birmingham but you may wish to know that on the GENUKi page for the 1818 census of Birmingham businesses :-
Thomas Babbington was ahairdresser in Steelhouse Street , and
Ann Babbington was a Straw hat maker in Constitutional hill.
