Kia ora from New Zealand. I am a decendant of George Babbington who according to verbal account sailed, as a whaler to New Zealand around the mid 1800's. I understand he was from Glasgow. He was the first of the white settlers on the east coast of the North Island, New Zealand. If anyone can shed any furhter light on this man I'd be greatly appreciative.
