Jacob Babbitt was son of Jacob, who was son of Jacob, who was son of Elkanah, who was son of Elkanah, who was son of Edward Babbitt. He was born October 9, 1791 and died October 1 1830. His first wife was Sally Higgins of Danvill, Vt. They had one child, Joshua Cutler, born 6/24/1818. Jacob's second wife was Betsey Scott, of Craftsbury, Vt. They had three children, Mary Catherine, 6/19/1825, Sabra Ann, and William Scott.
