I met Speedy in 1966 at an early meeting of the Indian Motorcycle Club of Long Island (NY). He was quite a character. He regalled us with stories about the early years and brought along photo albums of his career. I left shortly thereafter for a career in the US Army and never returned to New York. However the club's founder, Chuck Myles, may know more about Speedy. Chuck is still into Indians and lives in Sloan, New York. If you are interested I can dig up his address. Speedy is also listed on the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame which has a WEB site and perhaps more information. There was also an article in Walnecks 4/1/95, "Dare Devil Story-Speedy Babbs" that might have information you need.
