In my search for my elusive Ester Babcock I have amassed stacks of Babcock family information.
I have an 1851 Canadian census of Frontenac County,Portland Township showing
Peter Babcock age 40
Huldah Babcock age 36
Suzanna age 16
William age 14
Joseph age 11
Harvey age 9
Sara age 7
Florence age 5
Nicholas age 3
Henry age 1

all these ages are at next birthday.

Henry's marriage certificate dated November 16,1875 states his is 25 born around 1850 in Kingston.
His brother Nicholas married Mary Amelia Rees in 1883 he was 36 born around 1847. He was living in Collin's Bay,Ontario at the time of his marriage.
Both of these certificates show Peter Babcock and Huldah as their parents.

I hope some of this information can help you.
Good luck the Babcock's are difficult to trace.
