I found a few people at ancestry.com who have Sarah Babcock listed as a child of John Babcock and Mehitabel Sheldon. I looked at the other information that they have and there is no male child listed that could be Reynolds-unless it was another John b. 1768. I'm not sure where the info came from and am currently waiting for anything that might help. I have e-mailed the people who have this information. If this is the correct Sarah Babcock and she was Reynolds sister, did he use a middle name as his legal name? More questions for us Babcock researchers?
