My grand mother was Caroline Babcock. Daughter of Nicholas. Nicholas was married before Mary Amelia to a Catherine Anne. He had one daughter with her. Mary Jane. Nicholas died of hypothermia in Kingston in 1907. I have the articles from the Whig Standard. What I am trying to find out is what happened to the family between 1891 where they appear on a census and 1901 where the children are scattered with my grandmother and Mary Jane working as domestics at age 14 and 16. I don't even know what happened to Mary Amelia Rees. The maiden name of my great grandmother. There was a Dorman. I have a photo with a line he wrote on the back. If anyone interested wants to email me privately, I can supply more info. It has been a while since I did any research on the Babcock tree. Keep hitting dead ends and discouraged.
