Elizabeth Babel, originally of Sebewaing/Kilmanah MI, died in Gagetown during a diptheria outbreak. She was preceded by her 2 oldest children, Edward and Emma. Her husband, John, was left with 4 girls - Catherine, Violetty(Mary), Eleanor, and Louise. John remarried Lena McClean. She had 2 children from a previous marriage and together John and Lena had 8 more children.
