I don't have any more information about JACOB. All that was said in a book, which one of my cousins wrote about our grandmother, Sarah Jane Nelson Baber, was: "In the early 1800's the Baber family who lived in Ireland heard many stories of a new country called America......Old Jacob, who was head of the family thought it might be a good idea to bring his family over." My cousin also listed William Robert Baber as his son - which doesn't seem right according to your records and also Vera's.
Most of cousin's record was from stories handed down through conversations, etc.
