This George Baber is very interesting to me. My Sarah Ann Baber was b. 1780 Albemarle Co., Va. and md. there 14 July 1798 to Wm. D. Robertson. They had a $150 bond for their marriage which was put up by GEORGE BABER and Thomas Robertson.
Their first two children, James and Martha were born there but they moved to Rutherford Co., N.C. where they had 3 or 4 more children - John, Susan, Eliza and Mary (Polly) Ann. Some time between 1814 and 1818 they moved to St. Louis Co., Mo. where George and Virginia were born. Unfortunately, the 1820 census for St. Louis was destroyed. Because George seems to be an important name in this family, and other names are the same, I feel that they must be of the same family. Perhaps your George is the brother of Sarah Ann.
