This is George Washington Baber that married Sarah Anderson. His parents were James Baber and Elizabeth " Betty" George. Sarah Anderson's father was Thomas Anderson and the name "Thomas Anderson Baber" follows down several generations in the Baber family. The first Thomas Anderson Baber had a large Plantation in Tennessee.

There were Barbee's and Baber's in the area, but I have never seen a Baber listed as a Barbee.
