A large percentage of the information posted on the Internet and Genealogy Forum family trees is regard to the three Robert Babers in Virginia beginning with the father in the late 1600s in Old Rappahannock and Essex Counties, the son in King William, Caroline, and Albemarle Counties, and the grandson in Brunswick, Lunenberg, Bedford and Campbell Counties is just plain WRONG!!!
For example, Robert Baber, grandson, could not have been born in 1725 in Albemarle County. The County wasn't even formed until 1744. During the time he was probably born deed records indicate his parents were living in King
William County.
Has anybody seen any documented records for dates and places of births and marriages for any of the three Roberts or documentation for the last names of any of their wives?
I have been in most of the offices and libraries of counties where I know they lived and turned up deed and court records which establish the time frames of where
they lived. I also have copies of wills of the last two
Roberts, but nothing that proves the relationship of the first two Roberts nor the family names of their spouses.
A lot of poeple have been posting family tree information that must have been copied from some original posting that was based on bad guesses.
I would much appreciate help from anyone who has any source information from early family records or anything else that would provide real documentation.
