G'day Arthur

Got back from a bird watch tour of AU and Babington related relative trip to NZ recently. Loved your fair country. My great grandfather was George Babington (1826-12 Jan 1901). His farm was in Knocknacran West, Magherclone Parish, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. George and his family left Ireland in 1885 for Canada. I have been able to confirm, through George's marriage record, that George's father was a John Babington (that is all I have on this John). The story in my Babington family is that George's brother, James Babington, went to Australia. Perhaps your friend is related to this James Babington?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours,

David W. Babington
