Bavington Hall/Bavington name
Posted by: Barbara Bavington (ID *****8382) Date: June 29, 2002 at 19:32:38

Does anyone know the cross-over between Babington and Bavington? I found a reference to Bavington Hall in Northumbria that dated to 1304, I believe. And there was a reference to it by a bed and breakfast in the area. Did my family take the name of the Hall, or did the Hall take the name from the family.....was it a changed spelling from Babington or an original in and of itself?
