Backhaus Family in Missouri

I am trying to trace a Backhaus family line from Missouri for a friend, particularly the transition from Germany. The earliest Backhaus person I can identify with certainty is Johann Heinrich Backhaus, b 1863, Femme Osage, St Charles Co, MO, d 1940, same location. He married Eva Elixabeth Geiger (b 1867 St Charles Co, MO; m 1889 Franklin Co, MO; d 1945, St Louis, MO). Johann Backhaus' father apparently was a Heinrich Backhaus, b Germany, d MO. Other surnames in this line are Ueltzen, Hardekopf, Geiger, Robenart, Liesman, etc. Most of the collateral lines seem to have come from the Hanover-Wesphalia-Lower Saxony area of Germany. Does anyone have anything definite on this tribe? Thanks.
