I believe this Henry Badcock may be my ancestor. Family tradition states that his wife was Bridget. Yet Henry is listed with a wife named Sarah on the 1841 UK census, in Axminster, Devon. This 1841 census lists my ancestor, Jane Apsey Badcock, as his daughter. I have long thought Sarah was a second wife. I would like to share information with anyone who is interested in Henry Badcock.

Unfortunately, my research is at home and I'm at work; so, I can't give you the exact name of the town listed as Henry's birthplace on the 1851 UK Census. I beleive Henry Badcock is from the Exter area.

My theory is: Henry married one Bridget Baker who's mother was an Apsey. I have nothing to base this on, other than an educated guess.

Does the document you list also give Henry Badcock's father's name?
