Good morning, I too am on the hunt for a George Bagnall and thought I would add my info:
I will start backwards. I am looking for a Lucy Louise Bagnall who according to her marriage cert. was born in St/ Pancras, Middlesex, London in 1870. In 1890 she married to Herbert Francis Drake. According to the 1881 census (and her marriage cert.) her father was a George Bagnall born 1847. I am waiting for George's marriage cert which was supposed to arrive on Friday but I am reasonably certain that he was married to Sarah Harris who was from Oxford. The following is the family group as of the 1881 census:
George Bagnall born c1847 in St. Giles, Middlesex (news agent collector)
Sarah (nee Harris ?) born c1842 in Oxford
children:
George Bagnall(male)born 1869
Lucy Louise Bagnall(female)born 1870
Bertie Bagnall(male)born 1876
Daisy Bagnall(female)born 1879
The family had moved by the 1891 census so I have not located them to get names for any future children, but it's a good bet there were more. In addition I know Bertie must have been a nickname but am not sure for what.
If the marriage cert. arrives on Tuesday and I have another George to add, I will update this posting.
