I need to correct the date of death of Thomas Bagnall from my previous posting. The Thomas Bagnall, born about 1824, wife of Sarah Ann Uttley was not the Thomas Bagnall who died in Manchester in the June quarter of 1850 (BMD records). He definitely died between June 1850 when his wife became pregnant with their son, James Bagnall, and 12 March 1851 when James Bagnall was born, because the birth record (recorded 11 April 1851) says that James Bagnall's father, Thomas Bagnall, was "deceased".
