Hi Irene, thanks for your reply. My father was born and raised in Eccles, Manchester in 1908. His father was born in Bollington Macclesfield in 1878 and his name was Samuel Eachus Bagnall. He was the son Of John Bagnall who was born in 1845.I have the documentary proof for all this with Birth certs etc As I mentioned I go back to John`s father `John` born in Waterfall in 1812., and this is where I come to an end. I have also found some info on
www.wishful-thinking.org.uk/genuki/STS/Waterfall/MIs.html which gives some Memorial Inscriptions for St.James & St.Bartholomew`s Churchyard in Waterfall.i.e. Mary Bagnall. wife of John & Daughter OF Isaac & Anne Smith 21 Jan 1792 36years. Thomas Bagnall, 24 April 1792. 2 years.I don`t yet know if these are relations.
You may be able to get a lot of infomation once you find out Ken`s grandad and where he came from. I got my info by Census and BMD ETC but have now confirmed it all by typing in on Google John Bagnall of Waterfall.... Good luck Peter
