I have found a connection between Cornelius Bagnall and my hubby's family so have been doing some digging.
In 1851 census Cornelius' family were living in Chelsea, London. I too found Susannah listed in the LDS Emigration register, but can't find a birth registration for her in London. I pondered she may have been born just before they left Liverpool, but not registered - or even on the voyage as she is listed as an infant. Her nearest brother, Samuel listed as 2, was likely born 3rd quarter 1851, registered in Chelsea.
Cornelius had (at least) 3 children by his 1st wife Rebecca; the first John Cornelius b. 1823 probably died bef 1829 as the last, another John, b. 1830, accompanied him to US on The Falcon. A daughter, Mercy Rebecca, b 1824, is the link to my tree as she appears as a witness at the marriage of Margaret Jane Bagnall, sister to my Hubby's ancestor Richard Charles Bagnall. Their father is Charles Bagnall a contemporary of Cornelius. I can find no trace of Mercy after 1851; not in England or on Falcon list in Bagnall name or another (married) name.
In 1841 a James Bagnall, b. circa 1770 is with Cornelius and could be his father. In 1851 Cornelius gives birthplace as Leicestershire. It could be Cornelius and Charles were brothers, but Charles gives birthplace as Norfolk in same census (he died circa 1859)! Maybe cousins? Am still digging - good luck with your research
