Mary Bagnall and Henry Pitt

Ok! I admit that I am confused. I find lots of references that Mary Bagnall married a Henry Pitt born about 1711. Their children were born between 1736-1745.

According to the Marriages of Isle of Wight Co., Virginia 1628-1800, the marriage took place 1754 Bk.6, page 130 and 282. It lists her as the daughter of Nathan Bagnall.

Could some of you Bagnall researchers help straighten me out? I don't have any proof as of yet, but I believe that this Mary married Henry Pitt in 1754 and that they had a family completely different from those attributed to them. I believe that she was a first wife of the Henry Pitt born 1729 in Isle of Wight or Nansemond Co. Virginia and moved to Newberry Co. South Carolina. The oldest child being born in 1755. Henry had about 12 children ranging in birth years from 1755 to 1805. I believe that Mary died and that he remarried another Mary and had the last four or five children. As I stated, at this point this is speculation, but I would appreciate any help. Henry Pitts of Newberry (married to Mary______) is my gggggrandfather. My email address is Thank you in advance for your help.
