A Hooper In Your Bailey Family?
I am researching the family of James HOOPER (1745?-1813). I believe that he lived in Virginia and later in South Carolina, before moving to Union County, KY. James married a lady named Elizabeth ? before 1769, before or during his time in Virginia. James and Elizabeth's oldest child was born abt 1769 in VA and they named him Bailey. In thinking about the naming patterns used in that day, it dawned on me that maybe Bailey was his mother's name. So... I am wondering if any one on this forum would happen to have an Elizabeth BAILEY from this era that married into the HOOPER family? I would greatly appreciate any help that you can give me. You may contact me direct, if you want. I look forward to hearing from you and will share anything that I might have that will help you in your quest.
