Zachariah Bailey was born 1793 in Lynchburg, Campbell County, Va. In Randolph County, Ga. by 1828 where he was elected the first sheriff of Randolph County.

Considerable info about Zachariah at Randolph County, Ga. GenWeb.

Philip Bailey, my 4th grandfather was in Randolph County by ca. 1841 and some believe Philip and Zachariah are related, but I can find no connection.

Ralph Bailey
