Kyle E. Bailey, 71, of Chuckey, Washington Co TN, the
South Central Community, passed away Friday afternoon,
December 14, 2012.

He enjoyed woodworking and making furniture both as a
profession and as a hobby. He loved fishing, hunting, and
the outdoors.

Mr. Bailey was a member of Liberty Free Will Baptist
Church, where he served as a deacon and a Sunday School
teacher.

Born September 5, 1941, he was a son of the late Fred and
Marie Bailey, and grandson of the late Rev. Henry D. and
Lucy Bailey and William and Rhoda Chappel.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Velma Dunbar Bailey;
one son, Jeffrey Bailey, of the South Central Community;
one daughter, Julie Bailey, of Greeneville, TN; two brothers,
Allen Bailey, of South Central, and Gary Bailey, of
Jonesborough, TN; sister, Linda McKee, of Telford, TN; and
several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. 6 p.m., on
Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Liberty Free Will Baptist
Church.

Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m., Sunday at Liberty
Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. John Buchanan, Rev.
Brandon Broyles, and Rev. Terry Bailey, will officiate.

Family and friends are asked to meet at Liberty Cemetery at
11 a.m., Monday, December 24, 2012, for the committal
service. Active pallbearers will be Larry Dunbar, Jeff
Muncey, Johnny Brown, Russell Saults, Seth Bailey, Ronnie
Broyles, and Chad Hope. Honorary pallbearers will be the
Deacon Board and Trustees of Liberty FWB Church.

Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
